Arsenal have secured their place in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals and will go head-to-head with Paris Saint-Germain in what promises to be a thrilling contest.
The Gunners earned their spot after a disciplined performance against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu. Bukayo Saka found the net after missing an earlier penalty, while Vinicius Jr responded with a goal for Madrid. Gabriel Martinelli sealed the deal with a stoppage-time strike, helping Arsenal progress.
In the other quarter-final decider, despite goals from Harry Kane and Eric Dier, Bayern Munich were edged out by Inter Milan, who advanced with a 4-3 aggregate victory.
Paris Saint-Germain, who eliminated Premier League leaders Liverpool in a dramatic penalty shootout in the last 16, faced Aston Villa in the quarters—setting up a clash with former manager Unai Emery. After winning the first leg 3-1 in Paris, the French champions surged to a 2-0 lead early in the return leg. Villa mounted a spirited fightback to win 3-2 on the night but ultimately fell short, exiting the competition 5-4 on aggregate.
Meanwhile, Barcelona survived a scare against Borussia Dortmund. Hansi Flick’s side had a commanding 4-0 advantage from the first leg but suffered their first defeat of 2025 in the return, going down 3-1. Despite the loss, they progressed with a 5-3 aggregate score.
