Popular Ugandan pastor, Apostle Jonathan Nalebo, has publicly announced the end of his marriage to Enid Mirembe, his wife of over seven years, in a heartfelt message posted on social media.
In a candid and emotional statement, Nalebo described the decision to part ways as mutual, aimed at preserving peace, healing, and well-being for both parties.
“After more than seven years together, Enid and I have come to a place where we’ve mutually agreed to part ways—for the sake of peace, healing, and the well-being of both of us.”
He went on to praise Enid, describing her as “incredible” and admitting his own shortcomings in the relationship.
“In many ways, she was too perfect for me to keep up with, and I mishandled the treasure she was. I failed to fully honor the values she carried so gracefully in every area of life.”
Nalebo, who has long served as a spiritual leader and public figure, expressed remorse over his failings and reflected on how spiritual warfare can affect families, acknowledging the need for prayer, humility, and vigilance.
“As a servant of God, I know I am called to lead by example—but I have fallen short… I now see how easily the enemy can sow division when we are not vigilant in prayer, humility, and love.”
The couple’s children, he confirmed, will remain in the custody of their mother, whom he praised for her strength and wisdom.
“Our children are safe and deeply loved. They will be in the custody of their mother… I wish Enid Mirembe nothing but the best. She deserves a love that honors her completely.”
Nalebo concluded his message with a promise to rededicate himself to spiritual growth and healing.
“As for me, I return to the feet of Jesus… And if love ever comes again, I hope it finds me healed, whole, and more anchored in Christ.”
Quoting Psalm 34:18, he left followers with a message of hope and reflection:
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
