The Association of Resident Doctors, Federal Capital Territory Administration (ARD-FCTA), has officially suspended its three-day warning strike.
This was confirmed by the President of ARD-FCTA, Dr. George Ebong, in a statement on Wednesday.
The decision to suspend the industrial action followed an emergency virtual recess meeting held by members of the association.
Dr. Ebong commended the Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike, and his team for their intervention in resolving the issue.
The doctors called off the strike after some of their demands were met, including the payment of unpaid salaries and reinstatement of affected members.
They expressed hope that the remaining affected members would be paid soon to prevent further disruptions in the health sector.
The association thanked the FCT Health Secretary, Adedolapo Fasawe, and other officials for their swift intervention in resolving the crisis.
