The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the results of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
A total of 1,955,209 candidates sat for the examination across various centres in Nigeria.
Only 4,756 candidates, representing 0.24% of the total, scored 320 and above.
Candidates who scored between 300 and 319 numbered 7,658, making up 0.39% of the total.
Those in the 250 to 299 score range were 12,414, accounting for 0.63%.
A total of 73,441 candidates, or 3.73%, scored between 200 and 249.
334,560 candidates fell within the 180 to 199 range, representing 17.01%.
The majority of candidates, 488,197 or 24.94%, scored between 160 and 179.
The largest score group was 140 to 159, with 574,179 candidates (29.47%).
267,517 candidates scored between 120 and 139, making up 13.51%.
Another 83,209 candidates scored between 100 and 119, representing 4.19%.
Only 2,031 candidates, or 0.10%, scored below 100.
JAMB also disclosed that 71,091 registered candidates were absent from the exam.
Additionally, 40,247 candidates who sat for the examination were found to be underage.
Candidates who are dissatisfied with their results may apply for a review of their scripts through an official remarking process.
JAMB urged candidates to check their results by sending “RESULT” to 55019 or 66019 using the phone number used for registration.
The release of the results is a key milestone in the ongoing admission process into Nigeria’s tertiary institutions.
