The Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON) has cemented a partnership with D7G Company Limited to revamp local production of military hardware.
DICON spokesman, Lieutenant Colonel Haruna Mohammed Sani, in a statement said the collaboration aims to actualize the dream of a Military Industrial Complex.
Director General, DICON, Major General Babatunde Ibrahim Alaya, said the partnership will enhance production of arms, ammunition, and other military hardware, promoting self-sufficiency and reliance on indigenous production.
D7G CEO Osman Chennar assured that the partnership will usher Nigeria into a new era of local production of military hardware, leveraging DICON’s production facilities and manpower capabilities.
He said the partnership is expected to foster capacity development among DICON staff and boost revenue generation for the country.
