The Taraba State Police Command has assured residents and visitors of robust security measures ahead of the Taraba International Investment Summit (TARAVEST) scheduled to hold from May 21, 2925 in the state.
The Force in collaboration with sister agencies have conducted a show of force to reinforce public confidence and deter potential threats.
In a statement issued by the Acting Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP James Lashan Saminu, the operation was carried out in strategic locations across the state.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Emmanuel Bretet, represented by the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations, DCP Umar Shehu Didango, emphasized the command’s commitment to maintaining peace before, during, and after the summit.
He stated that the Show of Force symbolizes the readiness of joint security personnel to ensure the safety of all participants and residents during the high-profile event.
The Police Command also appealed to the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the nearest security post for prompt intervention.
Security personnel have been deployed to identified black spots, parks, and other public areas to enhance surveillance and rapid response capabilities.
The Command reiterated the importance of community support and cooperation in achieving a peaceful and successful summit.
The statement reassured the public that all necessary steps are being taken to provide a safe atmosphere for the smooth hosting of the Taraba International Investment Summit.
