The Federal University of Education, Pankshin (FUEP) will from September 2025 begin admitting students into its own degree programmes, officially kicking off the 2025/2026 academic session.
In a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer, Charles Nda Homsuk, the university said the move marks its full transition from affiliation with the University of Jos to operating as a standalone institution.
The Acting Vice Chancellor, Dr. Jere Ndazhaga, disclosed that the approval followed a successful resource verification visit by a panel of experts.
He said the National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted the institution accreditation to run several degree programmes spread across science, vocational and technical education, arts and social sciences, languages, and early childhood studies.
The university invited candidates who scored 150 and above in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to apply, while holders of NCE certificates are also eligible for Direct Entry admissions.
Candidates who had earlier chosen the Federal College of Education, Pankshin, were advised to log on to the JAMB portal and change their choice of institution to FUEP.
Dr. Ndazhaga said the programmes, including courses in education, sciences, social sciences, and languages, would enrich the university’s academic offerings and help produce quality graduates for the country.
