The Nigerian Navy College of Accounts and Finance (NNCAF) on Friday, May 9, 2025, has received an assessment team from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) for the re-accreditation of its National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programs.
Programmes assessed during the exercise included ND and HND in Accountancy, HND Office Technology and Management, HND Business Administration and Management, and Institutional Administration.
Welcoming the accreditation team, Commandant NNCAF, Commodore BU Quadri, noted that the exercise supports the Chief of the Naval Staff’s vision of delivering quality training to naval personnel.
He added that the re-accreditation would promote academic excellence and drive innovation within the institution.
Head of the NBTE team, Dr (Mrs) Kubura Jauro highlighted the importance of the process in maintaining high educational standards and ensuring the production of skilled manpower.
She described the accreditation as a mark of honour that assures students and stakeholders of the institution’s credibility.
The team thoroughly evaluated aspects such as curriculum content, student output, faculty qualifications, and infrastructural adequacy.
Following the assessment, the NBTE team held an exit meeting with the College’s management to present their findings and recommendations.
Dr. Jauro expressed appreciation for the hospitality extended by the College and commended staff for their cooperation throughout the exercise.
