Hon. Markus Hamidu has officially declared his intention to contest for the vacant Karim 1 Constituency seat in the Taraba State House of Assembly.
The vacancy follows the appointment of Hon. Dr. Mike Dio Jen as Commissioner for Tertiary Education by Governor Agbu Kefas.
Hamidu praised Dr. Jen’s elevation as a call to higher service and lauded the governor’s leadership in making the appointment.
He made the declaration under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), citing his long-standing loyalty to the party since 1999.
Hamidu revealed that his decision came after wide consultations with elders, youth, and stakeholders from the constituency.
He expressed a strong desire to deepen representation, serve diligently, and align with the governor’s Moving Forward Agenda.
Calling for support, Hamidu urged constituents to unite behind his candidacy for continued development in Karim 1.
He emphasized faith in the people’s strength and a shared vision to make the constituency a model of unity and progress.
