Former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, has once again made headlines—this time for marrying 29-year-old interior designer Adaugo from Abia State, marking his fifth marital union.
The traditional ceremony, held quietly over the weekend, was attended by close friends and family members in what insiders described as “deeply spiritual and emotionally charged.”
At 62, the controversial political figure appeared deeply smitten, declaring during his vows: “Nothing can ever come between us. This one must last.”
The declaration, laced with emotion and intent, is being interpreted by many as a sign of reflection and renewed commitment, following a history of turbulent high-profile relationships.
Adaugo, a university graduate and interior design entrepreneur, has reportedly been in a relationship with Fani-Kayode for over two years.
Those close to the couple describe her as elegant, reserved, and spiritually grounded, a profile that some observers believe may align with the former minister’s desire for stability and peace in his personal life.
Despite online claims suggesting this is his third marriage, Adaugo is actually his fifth wife.
Fani-Kayode’s previous marriages include Saratu “Baby” Atta (1987), Yemisi Adeniji (1991), Regina Hanson-Amonoo (1997), and Precious Chikwendu (2014), with each union producing children.
His most public split was with Chikwendu, mother of his four sons, including triplets, ending in a widely followed custody dispute in 2020.
Insiders report that Adaugo’s integration into the Fani-Kayode family has so far been smooth, with signs of support from his older children and relatives.
Still, the public remains cautiously intrigued. Will this union prove the turning point in the outspoken politician’s romantic journey? Or is it another glittering chapter in a story marked by passion and parting?
For now, Fani-Kayode has made his intention clear: “This one must last.”
