Kogi State Governor, Usman Ahmed Ododo, has lost his father, Alhaji Ahmed Momohsani Ododo, who died on Monday at the age of 83.
The Northern Governors, in a condolence message, commiserated with Governor Ododo over the passing of the elder statesman.
Speaking on behalf of the Northern States Governors’ Forum, its Chairman and Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, described the late Alhaji Ododo as a man who lived a fulfilled life devoted to God, community, and humanity.
Governor Yahaya said the death of the patriarch came at a time when his fatherly wisdom and guidance would have been invaluable to Governor Ododo in his leadership journey.
He urged the Kogi governor and his family to find comfort in the noble legacies of honour, humility, and service left behind by their late father.
The Northern Governors prayed Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased, reward his good deeds, and grant him eternal rest in Aljannat Firdaus.
