The Dadiya Community Development Association (DACODA) has applauded Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for approving the creation of Balanga South Local Council Development Area (LCDA) with its headquarters in Bambam.
In a letter signed by its National President, Hon. Dogari Yusuf, DACODA said the decision has brought joy to the Dadiya people at home and in the diaspora.
The group described the development as a landmark that would strengthen inclusive governance, enhance service delivery, and drive socio-economic progress in the area.
DACODA noted that by this singular act, Governor Yahaya had “written his name in gold in the annals of our history.”
The association commended the Governor’s commitment to fairness, equity, and the upliftment of all communities in Gombe State.
Eye Reporters recall that the Dadiya people had once celebrated the creation of Dadiya Local Government Area with headquarters in Bambam under Late Governor Habu Abubakar Hashidu in 2002.
That joy was however short-lived, as the LGA was scrapped in 2004 during the administration of Governor Danjuma Goje, a development that left the community feeling excluded from the benefits of grassroots governance.
Observers say Governor Yahaya’s move has therefore restored a long-deferred aspiration of the Dadiya people and rekindled their confidence in government.
DACODA pledged its unwavering support and partnership with the present administration to build a stronger and more prosperous Gombe State.
The association prayed for Allah’s continued wisdom, strength, and good health for the Governor to lead the state to greater heights.
Political watchers argue that the decision to create 13 new LCDAs, including Balanga South, is not only strategic for grassroots development but also a deft move in consolidating Yahaya’s legacy of inclusiveness.
