Police to Motorists: No Permit, No Tinted Glass The Nigerian Police have issued a fresh advisory reminding motorists that driving vehicles with tinted, shaded, coloured, or darkened windows—regardless of whether they are factory-fitted—requires an official permit. In line with Section 3 of the Motor Vehicles (Prohibition of Tinted Glass) Act, drivers have just 14 days from the date of purchase or import to obtain a permit or replace the tinted glass. A total of 1,955,209 candidates sat for the examination across various centres in Nigeria. Only 4,756 candidates, representing 0.24% of the total, scored 320 and above.
